What’s A Tool Library?
It’s like a traditional library, but with tools instead of books.
HNL Tool Library is Hawaii’s first and only nonprofit tool-sharing community. We’re a member-supported 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to expanding access to tools and DIY skills.
Our monthly or annual memberships are more affordable than traditional tool rental and more sustainable than buying new.
OUR TOOLS ARE YOUR TOOLS
We stock a wide range of tools for renters, homeowners, DIY enthusiasts, makers and craftspeople of all sorts. The online inventory is updated in real time so you can view what’s in stock or make a reservation.
MEMBERSHIPS AND PRICING

CLASSES
Learn new skills in one of our public workshops, or schedule a private class for yourself or your group.
We offer classes on individual tool use and on using tool combinations to create coasters, planters, bottle openers, and cutting boards. We also offer workshops focused on DIY home repair, picture hanging, laser engraving, and more!
Classes range from $35 to $75 per person. If there’s something specific you’d like to learn, please let us know.
